SEO CONTENT WRITER PORTFOLIO
This is just a small sample of my work. Most of what you find here includes live links to recent pages and/or sites I’ve written with a little background on each.
In case you didn’t know, I was the in-house copywriter at the second-largest casino in the U.S. -
Mohegan Sun. And while the casino had ad agencies do much of the copy for
projects that had a broad scope, it was my job to write content for mohegansun.com, print ads, radio spots, press releases, brochures and other collateral pieces, signage and more. In fact, it wasn’t uncommon for me to write and proofread half a dozen press releases, 30+ pieces of signage and collateral, ten entertainment ads and a dozen more ads from various departments. Talk about a training ground – I also acted as an in-house production liaison when the casino shot their commercials. I also wrote the content for Mohegan Sun’s arena policies page and their property brochure.
Mintz & Hoke is one of the top ad agencies in the northeast and is one of several ad agencies that works with
Mohegan Sun. So who does Mintz & Hoke call when Mohegan Sun needs web content for the meetings and convention portion of mohegansun.com? They call someone who knows just about every inch of the property – me. After initial meetings with the hotel and convention center staff as well as the Internet marketing department, I went on to create all the content. Even though I was a freelancer, my time at Mohegan Sun made me a perfect fit for the job – which needed to be done quickly, effectively and within budget.

brought my services to the Canadian real estate giant after using me on a few occasions at Royal LePage (scroll down to see my work for them.) RE/MAX needed web content for a new promotion agents could participate in – if they wanted to. The goal was to lay out the offer in an enticing way through content and appropriate messages. Oh, and I also had to speak Canadian for this project too. Good thing I’m fluent in Canadian.
Condo Hotel Center is THE leader in online Condo Hotel sales. One look at their site, and you’ll see that Condo Hotel Center understands the importance of content. That’s why Condo Hotel Center has been
contracting me since early 2007 to produce web content for their family of websites including property listings, information pages, FAQ and articles. From Dubai to the Dominican, I’ve written about properties both exotic and urban. Trump, DAMAC, Ginn, Westin and other top brands in the condo hotel and real estate industry. Press releases and bios that get the attention of humans AND search engines? Yes – and it works. HirEase is
a leader in pre-employment screening throughout the U.S., and to spread the word, HirEase has hired me to write optimized press releases, bio copy and more to keep them in front of their audiences both online and offline. HirEase is one of my few North Carolina-based clients.
When you contract me to blog, you don’t just get a bunch of random posts. eJane came to me with some very
simple, yet important goals – to build a blog about travel nursing that had strong linking, solid SEO content and a following that would allow for a favorable new product launch. From helpful products for life on the road as a travel nurse, to important issues that face the U.S. healthcare industry, I’ve researched, studied and carefully written every post. Beyond that, I was also contracted by eJane to write web content for web pages, landing pages and also manage some of their social media efforts.
Selling disabled mobility scooters online isn’t exactly glamorous work, but it serves a very important market. Disabled-mobility-scooter.com contracted me to write three pages of testimonial copy for disabled-mobility-scooter.com: #1, #2, #3. The purpose of each pages was to draw readers into the experience and have them empathize with the copy, adhere to SEO principles and, of course, sell scooters through the use of detailed benefits and facts.
Maybe you know CT Homes LLC from A&E’s Flip This House, or maybe you know them as some of the
finest (and best dressed) real estate professionals in the greater New Haven, CT area. Regardless, Than
Merrill and the CT Homes agents are entrepreneurs at heart. Back in 2006, I edited a 250-page ebook for them on flipping houses. Since they sell the book, I obviously can’t let you download it here to see my work, but I can give you an idea of what the book is about – which lends itself to my experience as a real estate copywriter.
