Why Breaking it up is Hard to Do

So if you read one of my previous posts, you might have sensed a little cynicism and very little SEO. Sometimes I just need to write without Google in mind.

One thing I’ve noticed in the past few months is that people are becoming increasingly thin-skinned. In fact, Gary Vaynerchuk noted this in his video about patience about 30 minutes before I posted this.

So, it was no surprise that my bare-bones, plain-truth cautionary tale about hack web design firms using duplicate content on 57 client sites was delicately excoriated by sponsors of the social network the original post was published on.

The fact is – we’ve all become thin-skinned.

I’ve read and written enough cutesy “10 things” posts to have nearly forgotten the true value that’s held in no-holds-barred language that uses a real person/product/company/service as a cautionary tale. And that’s exactly what I wrote – a cautionary tale.

Being in business calls for thick skin. In this economy (or any for that matter) there’s no time for a curtsy before every handshake.
